    What’s New @ LUCK

    Your monthly insight into Dallas’ first Local Urban Craft Kitchen

    We are very happy to announce that Chef-Engineered, LLC. has officially signed our company agreement and lease with Trinity Groves…we finally have a home!

    The new website is still under construction, but we’ve had our first meeting with our new developer and are very excited about the ideas he’s brought to the table.

    The 
    Facebook and Twitter pages have been receiving lots of traffic, and we are eternally grateful for all of our friends and followers.

     

    T-shirts and window decals are in and are currently being shipped. Please let us know if you’ve ordered one and don’t receive it within the next few weeks.

    email us and we’ll see that you get them. Designs can be viewed on our Facebook and website.

    We’re still working on glassware and hat designs, but hope to have them available and in the mail soon.

    Here’s what we’ll be up to over the next few months, we hope that if you’re in the area, you’ll be able to join us:


    Saturday (3/23) - We are proud to partner with our friends at the
    Dallas Brew Scene again to provide food for their Brewery Tour Bus. More info on the stops, tickets, and future dates can be found here

    Saturday (4/6) – We will be attending our friends Chad and Nellie’s Big Texas Beer Festival in Fair Park. Tickets can be purchased

    Monday (4/8) – ***SIGNATURE EVENT*** - We will be putting on our second pop-up restaurant/beer dinner with the Community Beer Company in Fort Worth at Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisine. Seating is limited, but we’ve added a second seating to help accommodate twice as many people. Tickets can be purchased here. Price includes food, drinks, tax, gratuity, and a take home souvenir Community Beer Company glass.

    Amuse Bouche

    Bloody Mary “ESB” Gazpacho Shooter w/ Bacon Wrapped Queen Olive

    Paired w/ Public ale.

    2nd Course

    Seasonal Greens, Grilled Nectarines, Pickled Texas Sweet Onions, Fresh Mozzarella, and Candied Bacon w/ Pale Ale Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette

    Paired w/ Community Pale Ale

    3rd Course

    Beer Braised Pork Shoulder “Raviolo” w/ Herb Salad, Chicharrón, and Red Chile Jus

    Paired w/ Vienna Lager.

    4th Course

    Smoked & Braised Beef Short Rib w/ Blue Corn & Bleu Cheese Grits, Fresh Herbs, and Smoky Horseradish Jus

    Paired w/ Regalement Ale.

    5th Course

    Fresh Sweet Corn Ice Cream w/ Caramel corn and Inspiration Ale Toffee Sauce

    Paired w/ Inspiration Ale

    More pop-ups, brewery events, etc. are always in the works so please stay tuned and keep your eye out for us around town.

  4. Update

    Here are a few updates on our new restaurant venture.

    The new website (www.LUCKdallas.com) still needs work, but the Facebook (www.facebook.com/luckdallastx) and Twitter (www.twitter.com/LUCKdallas) pages have been receiving lots of traffic.

    Stickers have been ordered and should be arriving soon, while we’re still working on glassware and hat designs.

    Chef-Engineered, LLC. has hired an accountant and plans to be IRS compliant for 2012 and beyond. No white collar prison for us!

    We are still working to finalize the lease and hope to have it and all other contractual documents signed by the end of the week.

    Here’s what we’ll be up to over the next few month, we hope that if you’re in the area, you’ll be able to join us.

    Saturday (1/19) – We attended the new Community Beer Company brewing (http://www.communitybeer.com/) opening in Dallas. All three beers we had were very good; however I would definitely recommend their Vienna Style Lager…delicious!

    Sunday (1/27) – We’re competing in the Saint Arnold Brewery One Pot Showdown in Houston (http://www.saintarnold.com/onepot/index.html). Danny & I will once again be competing on the Soup Ninja team (http://soupninjas.blogspot.com/) and Ned will be competing on the Guzzling Gator team again. We’re hoping for a 1st/2nd place finish for team LUCK this year!

    Saturday (2/9) – We will be selling a Jamaican Pepper Pot Soup (made w/ Coconut Ale) and a Vanilla Porter Ice Cream at the new 903 Brewery tour/tasting in Sherman (https://www.facebook.com/903Brewers).     LUCK (Local Urban Craft Kitchen) is a craft beer inspired kitchen & bar concept. It offers a comfortable, upscale ambiance replete with outdoor seating and great downtown skyline views. The menu features original variations of regional comfort food favorites including an array of hardwood smoked meats, gourmet sandwiches, hearty salads, and handmade deserts. Along with Texas wines, we will be featuring craft beers sourced only from local Texas breweries, with a focus on the Dallas Fort Worth Area and using them as ingredients throughout the menu.
